If volunteering is your thing:
The Friends of Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park’s Forest Restoration Project | October 19
Join us to learn about weed control and native plant restoration. You’ll play an important role in protecting important and threatened native ecosystems.
This event is best for volunteers 12 years of age and older as you’ll hike at least one mile over rough, uneven ground. Sturdy walking shoes and long pants are required, along with gear for variable weather conditions (be prepared for sun or rain with a hat, raincoat, sunscreen, etc.). You’ll also need to bring plenty of water and lunch.
Come join us for a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our National Park and participate in native forest recovery! Learn more here.
If you love to dance, shop and enjoy great food
